Happiness Again

Just wanted to share another photo of something that made me happy recently.  Mum and I went to a local charity shop and I instantly loved these shoes.  The colour makes me feel so happy and cheerful plus it also reminds me of the pink in my logo.  Really love the round toes too as pointed isn't really comfortable for me.  I think they would look great with some narrow leg jeans, blue or black in colour.

I'm having a Pink week!

This week I managed to get some crafting done but mainly just playing with ideas and enjoying the exploration. I sewed some kitchen towels and I also made a collaged card.

I bought Lotta Jansdotter's book Simple Sewing some months ago and immediately wanted to try some of the projects.  However, I realised that I didn't have all the supplies I needed to do it properly such as a yardstick and enough pins!  So procrastination set in but I eventually bought the yardstick from ebay and the pins from the supermarket I think.

Yesterday I decided to make one of the easiest projects in the book which were placemats with chopstick pockets and then as I was making it I decided not to do the pockets and just make them as dish towels which I would find more useful.  So here they are!

I'm so proud of myself for finally completing one of the projects in the book and that it turned out so well and that I can use them!  The next project I want to make is a fabric tissue pouch but this is from another book I purchased around the same time called Sew What! Bags by Lexie Barnes.  Can't wait to make that.

The other pink item I made was this collaged card:

It is based on this idea I had months and months ago when I was thinking about making greeting cards.  It is made partly of patterned and plain papers and card and partly illustrated with black ink.  The picture below shows the idea that this card was based upon.

This was just on a piece of paper but I used old jeans material and a piece of cotton string.  I think I might still do this one since I have some jeans material left.

It's only Wednesday but already I feel so productive! Let's see how much more I can do by the end of the week.

New Blog Giveaway Winner

Hello!

I've had to choose another giveaway winner since the first one, Pam, hasn't replied to my emails.  I only hope that she is ok wherever she is.  I had such an excellent response to my first giveaway and thought that one of the other people who entered should have a chance of winning, so I used Random.org again to help me choose.

So the new winner of my giveaway is Claire!  Congratulations Claire!  I'll send you an email to officially announce you as the winner and (hopefully!) you'll mail me back letting me know your snail mail details and your prize will be on its way to you soon.

Thanks again to all of those who entered and as a reminder, here are some photos of the mini envelopes and notes that Claire has won:

My First Blog Giveaway

Ok I'm a little bit nervous about this for obvious reasons like, 'no one will enter my giveaway because they'll think the freebie is rubbish' or 'they'll be disappointed when they actually receive it' etc., etc. but I'm going to do like I've done with a lot of things lately and just feel the fear and do it anyway!

So in the spirit of keeping the world going around nicely by giving and receiving, I'd like to offer something for free on my blog especially since I just won a giveaway myself.

Here is what's on offer:

These are a set of 5 mini envelopes complete with five co-ordinating note papers.  The envelopes have been punched out from cream cardstock, folded and glued by hand.  The front of the envelopes are collaged with two tiny hearts each, one of which is a bit glittery. The other heart is from the same paper as the tiny notepapers which each fit nicely into the envelopes.  The envelopes measure about 3.4cm x 3.5cm and the notepapers are a bit smaller to fit inside.

If you would like a chance of winning this set, please leave a comment letting me know how you think you may use them if you won.   I will pick a winner randomly on the 31st July and then contact them for their snail mail details.  So good luck to all of you who enter and be sure to check back to see if you won. Thanks!
