Thinking about Christmas

Like a lot of crafters at this time of year, I'm thinking about stocking up my online shops with Christmassy items. I've already started making individual greeting cards and gift tags but I was also thinking of festive notecard sets, Christmas card packs, and if I can find an effective way to do it, wrapping paper too!  I would love to be able to offer handmade wrapping paper in sets with my gift tags and cards but I'm having trouble finding a printing service that won't charge exorbitant amounts to print my designs.  My printer at home can only take A4 sheets and I think that size might be too small for most people.  There is also the hand stamped option as spoken about in this post and I've also been thinking about illustrating by hand too but that could be even more time intensive than the hand stamping.

I would also love to offer some gift items so I'm just brainstorming how to do it.  I was given a few ideas on my facebook fan page like bookmark and notebook sets with pencils showing my own designs.  Quite like that idea.

What do you think I could offer as gifts?  Any ideas will be appreciated!

Here are some Christmassy items already in my shops:

Love the idea of wrapping paper! The previous paper you did for your hubby looked great! If you could cut the brown wrap to the standard size of a sheet of wrap (what is it, about A2 size? Maybe A1?) and stamp it that would be awesome as you could commission someone (or perhaps make one yourself! :D) to make a hand carved stamp of one of your own designs :D It maybe pretty time intensive though.
Another option is screen printing but then that's a whole different kettle of fish. There's a company that can make screens for you, thermofaxscreens.co.uk but its getting the right paint and equipment and you may not want to go down that road!

I really like the hand bound book in your Coriandr shop. People always need notebooks! You could do smaller ones to fit in peoples bags for shopping lists etc and bigger ones for sketching and journaling.

If i think of anything else, i'll let you know :D

I don't know how I missed this. I'm usually quite good with checking my comments so sorry this reply is late! Thank you for commenting Katrina. You've given me some excellent ideas!

Personalised Christmas cards seem very popular at the moment. In fact the demand for personalised gifts has soared in recent months! Sorry I can not be of more help. Your designs are fab by the way - really like them.
