CeeGeeJewellery on the Coriandr Express

The first things I think of when I visit CeeGeeJewellery's shop are beauty and elegance.  From the logo to the composition of the photos to the sterling silver jewellery it just screams quality.  You can truly see the love and passion with which each item has been made.

Carolyn who lives in Cheshire, UK has always been drawn to beads and gemstones and is inspired by the colours of the changing seasons.  Did you know she used to be an investment banker?  Luckily she changed careers or else we would be deprived of her gorgeous jewellery, wouldn't we?

Here are my favourite items from her shop:

Silvered Black Lampwork Earrings

Polka Flower Earrings

Seashell Lampwork Pendant

To find out more about Carolyn and CeeGeeJewellery, read her Coriandr Express interview here and also visit her website, her blog, her Coriandr shop and follow her tweets here.

FruteJuce on the Coriandr Express

I want to start off by saying that I love the variety in FruteJuce's shop.  Alison, who runs FruteJuce, makes cute and practical items such as onesies for toddlers that feature awesome freemotion embroidery images such as a wrench and a set of headphones!  She also makes lovely little purses, felt fridge magnets, stuffed toys and bags.  She's definitely a dapper hand with her sewing machine!

She says she's inspired by machinery, her family and wildlife and this all comes out in her work.  Here are some of my favourite items from her Coriandr shop:

Little Mushroom Felt Fridge Magnet

Floral Zippy Coin Purse

Headphone Baby Vest Onesie

Who? What? Bird

Watercolour Painting in Progress

Here is my latest work in progress.  The idea behind this one is that I rarely see African American women portrayed as fairies or in fantasy settings in art so I decided to create some of this type of art myself.  Here it is at the beginning stage which I think I posted a pic of before:

And this is what it looks like now:

As you can see I've added a couple of larger flowers beside her and added a bit more interest to the background and added some branches to the tree.  I'm intending to add some more flowers to her dress but I don't think they will be so close together all the way down.

I hope this painting turns out ok. I'm a little nervous!!

Snapdragon Beads on the Coriandr Express

We are currently visiting the wonderfully colourful shop of Snapdragon Beads on the Coriandr Express.  Alice is the lady behind Snapdragon and she has perfected the technique of off loom bead weaving. She creates gorgeous brooches, pins, hair clips, pendants and earrings that will definitely make you stand out from the crowd.

One of the most impressive things about her products are the colours.  Her eye for completementary and contrasting colours is evident in all of her lovely pieces and she has learnt to show these off to their best advantage by the use of Macro photography.  Wherever I am online I can definitely spot Alice's work!

Here are some of my favourites from her shop:

Frog Princess Earrings

Turquoise and Red Hairclip

Primrose Pin

Aren't they all beautiful?  I love them.   To find out more about Alice and Snapdragon Beads, read her interview on the Coriandr Express blog, visit her Coriandr shop, her blog and follow her on twitter too. Oh and Alice is running a promotion in her Coriandr shop where you can get free shipping on all her items until the 30th June 2009.

Myfuroshiki on the Coriandr Express

Myfuroshiki is run by two sisters Mich and Olivia.  Mich lives here in the UK, in Yorkshire, and her sister lives in sunny Australia (lucky woman!) and they have pooled their talents to bring us the ancient art of furoshiki.  Furoshiki originated in Japan and is an eco-friendly wrapping cloth that can be used for gift wrapping, grocery shopping or even as decoration in the home.

Mich and Olivia design and make their own fabric squares and the results are gorgeous. They also make felt gift tags and printed furoshiki cloths to make your own bag or gift wrap. Here are some of my favourites from their Coriandr shop:

My Flexible Furoshiki bag (L)

My Flexible Furoshiki Bag (M)

4 Fabulous Floral Furoshiki (fabric gift wraps)

To find out more about Myfuroshiki check out their blog and their Coriandr Express interview.
